ELCA National Youth Gathering - UPDATE

We would like to start with a very BIG THANK YOU for all of you that purchased tickets, donated items and prepared the food to make our Valentine's Day Dinner a huge success.  The food was out of this world, the entertainment was great and all of you attending made it a great success..  THANK YOU!!!

The gathering is rapidly approaching, we now have seven youth attending; Courtney Crowder, Bethany Kirk, Kaitlyn Messner, Sarah Winans, Melissa Yampol, Candice Gemma and Kevin Mauuel.  Terri Hudson and Paul Myers will be attending as adult leaders.

Courtney was elected as one of the respresentatives to the National LYO board for our synod.  She will be participating in various business meetings and workshops prior to the Gathering.  Bethany was also elected as an alternative and if somone can not attend she will also be participating in these meetings.

We have our airline flights and hotel reservations, we will be departing from Cleveland Hopkins on Wednesday morning July 12th and will be returning Monday, July 17th.  We will be staying at the Hotel Contessa very close to the Riverwalk, so we will be right in the middle of many of the happenings.

We have also decided to participate in one of the afternoon service events.  We will be doing some type of construction project that LYO has coordinated.  The schedule of events appears to be keeping us very busy for the entire four days that we are there, we are looking forward to a great time.
